Bid #2010-05 Nutrient Reduction Facility Information Video Bid Specifications -

The Lake County Water Authority Board of Trustees would like to solicit bids from interested vendors for the development and production of a 9-10 minute informational video highlighting the Water Authority's Nutrient Reduction Facility located on the Apopka-Beauclair Canal.

Deliverable: The 9-10 minute information video shall cover such topics as, but not be limited to, a brief history of Lake Apopka's & the Harris Chain of Lakes water quality impairment, Lake County Water Authority Board's decision to build the Nutrient Reduction Facility (aka NuRF) on the Apopka-Beauclair Canal, explanation of the facility's infrastructure, and results from the NuRF's operation.


Intended Audience: students (6th grade – 12th grade), public, community groups


Bid Deadline: Friday, September 17, 2010, 3:00 p.m.

RFB #2010-03 Lake Beauclair Aquatic Enhancement

Location of Project: Lake Beauclair, Lake County, Florida

The Lake County Water Authority hereby solicits bid proposals for removing sediments from Lake Beauclair and four (4) residential canals located along the Apopka-Beauclair (AB) Canal within Lake County, Florida. The overall project consists of dredging from the lake and residential canals, and deposition of the treated sediment

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference: See below for PreBid Agenda and files. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 18, 2010at 9:00 am at the Lake County Water Authority, 107 North Lake Avenue, Tavares, Florida 32778-3119. All bidders must attend in order to submit a bid. A field visit to the project site will be available on this date. Boats are recommended but will not be supplied.

Receipt of Bids: Sealed bids in triple (3) copy for the work described herein shall be received until: 4:00 p.m., July 14, 2010 at Lake County Water Authority, 107 North Lake Avenue, Tavares, Florida 32778-3119, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All BIDS WHETHER HAND DELIVERED OR MAILED MUST BE AT SAID OFFICE BEFORE THE ABOVE STATED DEADLINE TO BE CONSIDERED. The AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any or all submittals.

Information Regarding Bidding Material, etc.: Complete plans, specifications and pending or issued permit application documents or permits may be reviewed and obtained at the office of the Lake County Water Authority, 107 North Lake Avenue, Tavares, Florida 32778-3119. The documents may be reviewed for free at the LCWA office or are available for free at www.lcwa.org. These plans and specifications will be available after June 2, 2010, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
